What Applies to All Bookings

Regardless of the specific cruise you book, the following general conditions apply to all purchases made through NYC Cruises:

Cancellation Windows

The number of hours or days before departure within which cancellations are accepted and refunds are issued may differ between cruise types. Some experiences may allow cancellations up to 24 hours in advance, while others may have longer lead-time requirements.

Refund Amount

Certain cruises may offer full refunds, partial refunds, or credit vouchers for future use, depending on when you cancel relative to the departure time. The exact breakdown will be shown on your booking page.

Non-Refundable Bookings

Some special event cruises, private charters, or discounted fares may be designated as fully non-refundable at the time of sale. This will be clearly communicated on the cruise booking page before you complete payment.

Date & Time Changes

Where modification of a booking is permitted, it must be requested within the timeframe specified on your cruise page. Changes are subject to availability and may be subject to an administrative fee.

Weather & Operational Cancellations

NYC Cruises operates on New York's open waterways and is subject to conditions outside our control, including weather, tide, and maritime authority requirements. Our general weather policy is as follows:

  • Refunds are not issued for cancellations or departure delays caused by weather when the cruise nonetheless departs.
  • If NYC Cruises cancels a departure entirely due to unsafe conditions, affected guests will be offered a reschedule or a credit, as determined by the specific cruise's policy.
  • Guests who choose not to board due to personal discomfort with weather conditions will not be eligible for a refund.
  • Any operational changes — including route modifications due to marine traffic or safety concerns — do not entitle guests to a refund.

How to Request a Cancellation or Refund

If you believe you are eligible for a refund or wish to cancel a booking, please follow the steps below. All requests are subject to review and must meet the conditions set out in your cruise's individual policy.

  • Contact our customer service team via email or phone with your booking reference number.
  • Clearly state your reason for cancellation and the date of your original booking.
  • Allow up to 5–10 business days for your request to be reviewed and processed.
  • Approved refunds will be returned to the original method of payment.
  • Credit or voucher alternatives may be offered at NYC Cruises' discretion.

Ticket Resale & Transfers

The resale or transfer of tickets or vouchers purchased through NYC Cruises is strictly prohibited. Any ticket obtained through unauthorized channels may be voided without compensation. NYC Cruises is not responsible for tickets lost or misused after initial issuance, and replacement tickets will not be issued in such circumstances.

NYC Cruises' Right to Modify or Cancel

NYC Cruises reserves the right to cancel, modify, or reschedule any cruise offering at any time for reasons including but not limited to safety concerns, operational requirements, regulatory requirements, or force majeure events. In such cases, affected guests will be notified and offered solutions in accordance with the applicable cruise policy, but NYC Cruises will not be liable for any additional costs or losses incurred as a result.

Exceptions to our standard refund policy may be granted at the sole discretion of NYC Cruises management on a case-by-case basis.
